Lansoprazole - why is generic not as good?

Answers

Well, there are many people who take generics and find them to be as good as brand name plus the FDA states that generics are exactly the same as brand names and the only things that change are the inactive ingredients, fillers, etc., and I respect that and the people who take them.
On the other hand, I do not agree with this and only take brand names, every time I have taken a generic medication it messes with my brain chemistry and I end up feeling terrible, so I have the privilege of only taking brand name medications, which for me do the trick. Everyone is different.

FDA requires generic drugs to have the same active ingredient, strength, dosage form, and route of administration as the brand-name drug. The generic manufacturer must prove its drug is the same (bioequivalent) as the brand-name drug.

Generic medicines and brand-name medicines share the same active ingredient, but other characteristics, such as colors and flavorings, that do not affect the performance, safety, or effectiveness of the generic medicine, may be different.

I absolutely disagree with the information provided by the FDA with regards to their regulations. As I mentioned I have tried both brand name and generic medications and have felt terrible with the generic ones, and as I also mentioned many people do not have this problem.
I rather find this controversial, but again, I do respect people who believe generics are the same as brand name medications, I do not, we are all different.
