Can you take expired antibiotics?

Answers

Hi, Latoya!
It depends on how long past the expiration date and how the medication was stored. Most are good for months... even years in some cases. Most don't go "bad" but they may lose their effectiveness and I wouldn't risk it with an antibiotic.
You might want to check with your doctor or pharmacist for their opinion based on the medication and circumstances.
