"I have used Bactrim off and on for years to treat intestinal problems including diverticulitis...I started using it in Mexico when living there. I had various bouts of salmonella, shigella etc over years and plain old food poisoning. It always worked. It is used for various other problems. I prefer it to other antibiotics and find it works for lung infections etc."
